I welcome you to my Financial Empowerment teaching series.

From the beginning of creation it was God’s plan that His children enjoy the great provisions He has made available for them to live in prosperity.  This is evident when you read “Genesis 1:28

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)

Prosperity as designed for you by God is not limited to money or financial instruments alone. Rather God wants you to rule and have dominion over every other thing He has created.

The dictionary offers various definitions of prosperity but the summary is what I state below:

“A state of flourishing, thriving, having good fortune and success. Being prosperous means one is enjoying ‘a long period of peace and prosperity’

This type of prosperity that leads to great wealth is possible when you allow God to guide you.

PSALMS 1: 1-3 Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do. (GNT)

May you  get to that level of being prosperous in Jesus Name. (Amen)

Prosperity often produces large amounts of  wealth including other factors which can be significantly wealthy in all degrees, such as happiness and health.

I pray as God prospers you financially may you also prosper spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and in every areas of your life in Jesus name.

There are some factors that contribute to prosperity. These can impact wealth creation positively or negatively. They serve as bedrock for your prayers as you pull down barriers hindering your effort to create wealth. Don’t give satan any opportunity to use these factors as a tool to disrupt your wealth creation effort.

  • Your Religious Belief- do you trust God to keep to His promise for you? On whom do you place your faith? This is the time for you to draw close to God. Jesus is the only way by which you can be reconciled to God. God will not work or be in a place where His glory will be given to another. When you draw close to God and allow Him to take control; you will have more chances of success.

PHILIPPIANS 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 NLT

Your family life- Let your family project the beauty of Christ. When your family  is not at peace and always  in crisis it will affect your ability to make wealth.

May there be unity in every family in Jesus name.

  • Your health is important – sickness is a great barrier to prosperity. One who is sick cannot create much wealth and the little they generate will be expended on treatment. May that not be your portion in Jesus Name. For those that have been made stagnant by sickness I speak healing to your life, career and business in Jesus Name.
  • Security creates enabling environment for wealth creation. Insecurity destroys wealth. May God build an hedge of protection around you and your business in Jesus Name.
Jesus said: The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10 (NLT)
  • Quality of your relationships- are you associating with people that will help you to grow or are they leeches that will drain you of all your valuables without adding to you? Do not join with godless people to do business. When they get punished for their wicked deeds you may be caught up in it. We see an example of this in 2 Chronicles 20: 35-37

Jehoshaphat King of Judah was blessed because he lived a godly life but he got into trouble when he allied himself with the wicked King of Israel.

Some time later King Jehoshaphat of Judah made an alliance with King Ahaziah of Israel, who was very wicked.
2 Chronicles 20:35 (NLT)

He joined him in building ships to go to Tarshish [for trade], and they built them in Ezion-geber.
2 Chronicles 20:36‭- (AMP)

This action by Jehoshaphat displeased God and He reacted.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the Lord has broken down what you have built.” So the ships were wrecked and were unable to go to Tarshish. 2 Chronicles 20:‬37 (AMP)

May God separate you from relationships that are not doing you any good in Jesus name.

  • Your stability is vital. An unstable person is not a candidate for prosperity and is not in a position to create wealth. You must be stable to make decisive decisions and take actions. May God stabilize you in Jesus Name.
  • Income: the resources you generate. What are you bringing in as income? What work are you doing to increase your income? You can not prosper when there is no visible work you are doing.

To live in prosperity and access God’s provisions; you must be ready to play your role in line with God’s demand.

COMMITMENT : to God must be total. Even when you are not getting the desired results in your business your faith in God to bring you to your promised land must be total. For God’s ways and timing are not measured by human yardstick.

Isaiah 55:8-11

To access great abundance of provisions and prosperity you must be ready to abide in Christ and work according to the principles laid down by God.

John 15:4-5

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5(NLT)

There will be a lot of distractions as people will come up with ungodly strategies for fast riches and they will deceive many. May you not be their victim in Jesus name.

When you trust God to bless your work you will not cut corners or use substandard materials to do your client work. This is because your commitment is to God who diligently rewards those that are faithful in their place of primary assignment.

Those that know their God and stay committed to Him will do great exploit and have the last laugh. When people begin to say there is a casting down you shall always experience a lifting in Jesus Name.

May you be among those that will be lifted into great abundance of provision and prosperity in Jesus name.

b) commitment to earthly masters: this should be done sincerely.

Colossians 3:22-24 “Servants, in everything obey those who are your masters on earth, not only with external service, as those who merely please people, but with sincerity of heart because of your fear of the Lord. Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.

Colossians 3:22‭-‬24 (AMP)

There will be provision in abundance for every new day and season. This is God’s promise for you but any one who is lazy cannot access it.

Be ready to work. God does not support laziness.

In Genesis 2:15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. (NKJV)

Tending a garden requires hard work but in return it provides fruit of great abundance for the worker.

You have all been given a garden to tend. You must be dedicated as you work your garden. Your garden is your work, vocation or the business you are doing or where you are working as an apprentice or intern.

Ensure you have discovered your garden and you are actively operating in it. God’s promise is not for the idle hand.

Psalms 128:2

Your work will provide for your needs; you will be happy and prosperous. (GNT)

May God establish the work of your hands. Psalms 90:17 – May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us– yes, establish the work of our hands. (NIV)

May you eat the fruits from the work of your hands this year and may it be well with you in Jesus name.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the one who gathers the harvest, And the one who treads the grapes [shall overtake] him who sows the seed [for the harvest continues until planting time]; When the mountains will drip sweet wine And all the hills shall melt [that is, everything that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing].” Amos 9:13 (AMP)

  • Work means being ready to go the extra mile, equipping yourself with new knowledge and working tools.
  •  Be innovative and know what is trending as it relates to your work or business.
  • Package yourself and be ready to make sales or seal an order whenever the opportunity comes your way. Most times you will not have a second opportunity to create a first impression of whom you are or what you do.
  • Carry your office along with you. Social media and internet tools – WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Facebook when used wisely can help improve your income generation.

May you continue to have profit after profit from your labours and business in Jesus name. Before you complete a contract you will receive another more viable one in Jesus name.

What you are ready to give to your business in terms of time, physical and human resources will affect the returns you get.

Giving is a risk but it is required if you want an increase in prosperity and become wealthy.. When you give your seeds it means you are ready to sow and this act of surrender requires your total trust in God. When you trust God He does the impossible for you by allowing the seeds to sprout and yield fruits for harvest.

The widow trusted God and acted on the word of Elijah. As a result she and her family had food during the years of famine which means when others were experiencing lack the widow had abundance.

The young lad that surrendered his fishes and loaves of bread saw Jesus feed a crowd of over five thousand and also saw the leftover of twelve baskets. The act of giving preceded the increase.  For you to be prosperous and wealthy you must practice giving.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. (AMP)

To access God’s abundant provisions: You must learn to also be generous to your workers, the needy and to give for the things of God.

We all have a reason not to give because our wants are unlimited while the resources are limited. However if you want to enjoy God’s abundance then you must practice His principles for sowing and reaping.

God himself is very generous. He pours endless love and mercy and resources into people’s lives. When you become generous like Him; He sends you even more!

In the Bible we read:

“There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.  The generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched, And he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown].Proverbs 11: 24‭-‬25 AMP

Our God is God of abundance, not scarcity. He loves it when you trust His word and expect his promises.

May God refresh you with great abundance of provision and prosperity that will last from year to year in Jesus Name.

Management of your business affairs. Be disciplined in the use of time, be financially disciplined by using resources wisely and be accountable. Keep record and be faithful. Stay out of debt.

Spending more money than you make won’t guarantee that you will be happier. It will, however, guarantee you a life full of worry and undue stress.

Wealth creation can be sustained if you are humble. Do not use people for your selfish dreams alone. King Rehoboam in 2 Chronicles was proud and selfish. His plan to use people selfishly backfired for he refuse the wise advise of the elders. As a result the major part of the Kingdom was taken away from him.

Then King Rehoboam consulted with the elders who had served his father Solomon [as advisers] while he was alive, asking, “What advice do you give me in answer to these people?” They answered him, saying, “If you are kind to these people and please them and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.” But the king rejected the advice which the elders gave him, and consulted with the young men who grew up with him and served him [as advisers]. 2 Chronicles 10: 6‭-‬8 AMP

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. (BSB)

Pride makes God our enemy. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. To walk and live according to God’s precepts requires total surrender of our will to Him just the way Jesus did. He prayed ‘not my will, but your will be done.’

May God deliver you from the spirit of pride and selfishness. May He give you a humble spirit in Jesus Name.

In conclusion how to access God’s abundant provisions to create wealth is easy when you are humble and act with wisdom from God.

I pray that God will give you wisdom to take the right decision and steps that will guarantee your endless supply of provision and make you prosperous in Jesus Name.

Till I saw God’s provision, the I googled further so see how it means. That’s when I got this sermon. I have read all of it, and it was so great.
